This is the longest possible land route in Indonesia, spanning from the eastern tip of Java to the northern tip of Sumatra. You must fly from Surabaya to Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport. Alternatively, take a bus from Bungurasih Terminal to Banda Aceh. This journey requires crossing the entire length of the Trans-Sumatra Highway. It is an epic trip for adventurous travelers.
