Banyuwangi is the easternmost city in Java, located just across the Bali Strait. The most practical way to travel is by bus from Denpasar to Gilimanuk, followed by a ferry to Ketapang, and a short drive to Banyuwangi. The total journey takes about 4-5 hours. Banyuwangi is famous for the Ijen Crater and its beautiful beaches. It is a very accessible route for travelers.
