Sumbawa Besar is the main town on the western side of Sumbawa Island. You can reach it from Nusa Dua by a direct flight from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) to Sultan Muhammad Kaharuddin III Airport (SWQ). Alternatively, you can take a bus from Bali, which involves a ferry crossing from Bali to Lombok and another from Lombok to Sumbawa. Flying is the most efficient way to travel.
