Bima is located on the eastern end of Sumbawa Island. The most practical way to reach Bima from Pujut is by direct flight from Lombok International Airport (LOP) to Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Airport (BMU). The flight takes approximately one hour. Traveling by land and sea is possible but involves a very long, multi-day journey across the entire island of Sumbawa, which is not recommended for most travelers.
Total Distance: 400 km straight-line air distance.
Flights are often small propeller planes.
Dry season (April to October) for reliable flight schedules.
