Bima is located on the eastern end of Sumbawa island. The most practical way to reach Bima from Tangerang is by flying from Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) to Sultan Muhammad Salahuddin Airport (BMU) in Bima, typically with a layover in Bali or Lombok. Alternatively, you can take a long-distance bus from Jakarta to Bima, which involves multiple ferry crossings and takes over 40 hours. Bima is a gateway to the stunning Sangeang Api volcano and the nearby Komodo National Park.
Total Distance: Driving distance 1,700 km (including ferries), straight-line air distance 1,500 km.
