Jayapura is the capital of Papua, located on the northern coast of the island. The most practical way to reach Jayapura from Tangerang is by flying from Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) to Sentani Airport (DJJ), usually with a layover in Makassar. Alternatively, you can take a PELNI ship from Tanjung Priok, which is a very long journey across the Indonesian archipelago. Jayapura offers stunning coastal views, unique culture, and access to the interior of Papua.
Total Distance: Driving distance 4,000 km (including ferries), straight-line air distance 3,700 km.
